Artistic License

Rohit and Jayraj and the entire staff of Artistic licence are talented and helpful. They made the workshop engaging and fun. Can't wait to go back. The pieces we created came out to be amazing.

I signed up for the Women's Day Woodworking workshop at Artistic License, and it's one of the most fun activities I've done in a while! We had a few options to choose from, and I chose lamp-making. What i loved about this workshop is that Rohit was as committed to seeing my project through as I was. Though I wanted some customisations in my project, he didn't let the format get in the way of my creative flow. It was great to learn from someone who's so passionate about his craft. Jayraj did a great job of coordinating, keeping us updated, and helping us along with our projects. He was easy to approach, shared his knowledge freely, and was really encouraging. In fact, every member of the staff at the studio was really helpful. And of course, it was a pleasure to meet like-minded people who had a million stories to share about their individual creative pursuits. I'd highly recommend this workshop! I'm definitely going back for at least a few more sessions with this fun group of woodworking enthusiasts.

I attended the Women's day workshop at this studio. It was an amazing experience. The guys there are really helpful and are ready to impart all the knowledge they have learnt over time. They have ample material, that would have otherwise been wasted, that we could use to create an item of our choice. We could choose between a lamp, mirror, laptop stand, and a chopping board for this day long workshop. It was a fun experience and I would definitely recommend it to all my friends. I also got to meet some amazing women and had a great time with them throughout the experience. Special thanks to Jayraj, Rohit and Ramesh for making this utterly unforgettable. I sit here typing a review on my laptop that's resting on a laptop stand THAT I MADE!! These guys had solutions to almost every problem and for the others, they have Fevicol! 😀 10/10 would visit again.

I’ve attended the ‘Make your own Edison Lamp’ workshop here and it was an wonderful experience turning an absolutely raw piece of wood into a stunning piece of decor that adds elegance and brings nature close to your home. Each step was carefully taught and was guided through out with expertise. Had a luscious meal, the vibe of the place and the collection of the art will blow your mind. The people, studio space and passion resonates a positive connection, peace and keeps you motivated to go crazy with your creative side forgetting all the hustle-bustle of the work life. I’m extremely happy and grateful to have attended the workshop. Sincere thanks and best wishes to Rohit, Jayraj, Ramesh and team Artistic License. You guys rock! Can’t wait for the next project.

If you love wood work & want to unleash your creative side, Artistic Licence Studio in Pune is the place to be. I went there for a 2 days weekend workshop with no prior experience. Rohit oriented me with the place and encouraged me to look around and find a source of inspiration to work with. Whatever you have visualised, Rohit & his lovely team make it happen and the end result is even better than you had imagined. Rohit is extremely generous & forthcoming in sharing his knowledge, time and materials. Also the studio space itself is filled with inspiration and every corner you look at is a visual treat.

Working with your hands using different materials, learning techniques. Creating a masterpiece for yourself. What a therapeutic way to spend a couple of days in an inspiring place with an open sky line and trees for the soul. Artistic licence is where it's at, and Rohit kaul is a visionary.

To what is disneyland for kids , Artistic License is the same for me. This wonderful place unlocked another level of my wood craft adventures and with a definitive knowledge of how and what wood behaves like in our environment all thanks to the sweetest staff here who help & guide you all the way through . The workshop was a hardworking yet smooth sailed journey.(wish it was for two days than one ) Rohit is a master craftsman overlooking the whole batch of us with ease and patience. Jairaj co-ordinated for the workshop wonderfully. The staff is very experienced with crafting and lighting solutions. Nigel too helped with some time to time sound advice to completion. Raring to dig in and get going again here. I wish this was a part of my school circulam ! Cheers !
