In one instance, a Hindware wall mixer from a November 2025 batch was marked up by over ₹1,000 from its approximate ₹4,300 original MRP. When I confronted the proprietor, he was extremely rude and refused to sell other products, further confirming his deceptive intent. ​As a legal professional, I find his claim that "the company sent it this way" to be a verifiable falsehood and a direct violation of Rule 18 of the Legal Metrology Rules, 2011, which strictly prohibits any retail dealer from altering or pasting over the original price. In contrast, I secured the same genuine Hindware fittings from Pandey Traders (Mugalaha, Medical College Road), who provided an honest experience with a legitimate 22% discount on the actual company MRP. I advise all consumers to scratch any suspicious stickers to reveal the actual price and avoid this shop in favor of ethical dealers.
