Regional Transport Office (RTO) Thrissur

Worst experience at RTO Thrissur. Came today only to make some corrections like updating the vehicle model name and the RC owner name—simple corrections—but the manner in which the officers conducted themselves was nothing short of humiliating, as if the citizens are beggars seeking alms rather than exercising their rights as citizens. No proper guidance, no accountability. They deliberately gave us wrong information and asked us to go to the wrong tables, only to realize the mistake after waiting in lines for 30-45 minutes each time. Totally disorganized system. To add insult to injury, many services which are already approved online on Parivahan require one to go through this miserable, time-wasting experience of visiting the RTO. No respect for people’s time, no empathy, and totally arrogant staff. This is not public service; this is harassment. Extremely frustrating, demoralizing, and honestly, it’s a shame. It makes one feel helpless and pathetic as an Indian citizen. RTO Thrissur seriously needs a complete overhaul in attitude, process, and basic human decency.

Real Scammers!!! I had applied for My International Driving Permit 2 months ago still i am running behind it. I had to call many times to reach them . They never picked up the call even though they pick up the call once in a while they ignore simply!!! . They give silly reasons like they don’t have papers to issue license or many pending applications they have like that . I am so exhausted, Why this people are so irresponsible. Wasting someone’s money and time . Very bad service

We went to collect IDP. The timing for collection is from 2 PM to 4 PM. Make sure to arrive within this time period.

Never attenting a call after trying about 15 times in different time slots. Very poor response from the office.

Thrissur RTO’s sheer negligence cost me ₹10,000 and a month of stress. They wrongly taxed my two-wheeler as a taxi, then forced me to pay fines for their mistake. This irresponsible system harasses ordinary people with zero accountability or shame.

I was really stunned by the service I got here. The RTO was very nice to everyone and he quickly resolved any issue Even the verifying lady officer was very quick to respond to my query and within minutes she verified and sent it for approval to RTO and within 1 hour I got my new RC approved. The RTO here sorry sir I don't know your name but thank you for the wonderful and quick service rendered.
