Bus stand building is good. Services are poor. The electronic display was not properly functional. It was mostly displaying state government's advertisement. Administration is not interested in cleanliness. Lot of people were sleeping on the floor. Security personnel were not present. It was very dirty and stinking. Washroom was very bad in spite of collecting reasonable fee. The information provided on arrival of bus was not correct. There is lot of scope for improvement because this is the main bus station to reach historical Hampi. Hope administration will look into it.

The bus stand looked beautiful at night with bright lights and clean surroundings. The well-lit area created a vibrant and pleasant atmosphere, making it feel safe and welcoming.

Board the bus from stand no. 12 to travel from Hosapete to Hampi Bazar. It takes around 30 minutes and the price of the ticket is Rs 18. If you can't get a bus, auto rickshaws are available. Their prices range from Rs 200 to a maximum of Rs 300. However, exercise caution!! Hosapete Bus Stand is not very tourist friendly. EVERY SIGN BOARD IS IN KANNADA. For a tourist, you get lost, frustrated and it's also really sad. On enquiring about the bus, timings, ticket price etc, a local told me sternly, ‘Why do you visit Karnataka when you don't know Kannada?’....I mean wow!!

I faced during my recent journey on a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus. On the date of travel: [02/02/2026], Route: [From Hospet – To gangavathi], Bus Number: KA - 35 - F - 0456 Time: 7.30 am During this journey, the bus was overcrowded, and many passengers were forced to stand with great difficulty. However, the front seat meant for three passengers was completely occupied with luggage. Despite passengers struggling to stand, the luggage was not removed or shifted to the designated luggage area. This caused serious inconvenience to passengers and also raised safety concerns. Passenger seats should be reserved strictly for passengers, especially when the bus is overcrowded. I request the concerned authorities to kindly look into this matter and take appropriate action so that such incidents do not recur in the future. This will help ensure passenger safety and comfort.

Cleanliness and hygiene factor missing from this Tier 3 City Bus Stand. It's a prominent Tourist place and the District Head Quarters for VijayNagar District. Need lot of money for infra development to put this place on the world of tourist Map. Hampi ( Vijay Nagar Kingdom ), T.B. Dam ( Tungabhadra Dam ), Birth place of lord Hanuman - Rishimukh parvat - it's 1 of the 3 disputed birth locations ( Near Kopal - Hampi ). District is rich in Iron Ore and has lot of steel plants and related businesses.

The Hospet bus stand is a busy place, especially because of the tourists visiting Hampi. Unfortunately, it's not very well-maintained, and the restrooms are especially bad. It would be great if the management could improve the facilities to make it a more comfortable experience for visitors. Situated almost 1km from Hospet Railway station from where you can get a shared auto to this bus stand.
