I came to the RTO for renewal of my driving licence from Chennai. Mr. Francis sir and Mrs. Vidhya mam make the process quick and completed the work within 30 mins.
Thanks for the Digitization! Did everything online for renewal and of course had to visit in person.Surprised to see the Documents verification desk and could see their surprise by their reactions. Still people use the conventional way thru agents majorly! For sure the digitization made the efficient way of streamlining the process and utilization of employees but for the approach and attitude which are slow in changing.Could get the card in the same day evening itself.Good improvement in all except for few things ,soft skills related and manpower related over my earlier renewal here, but long way to go too!!
Typical govt office atmosphere. Even after a decade not much has changed Govt has tried to digitize a few process online. But even that requires us to visit in person so these staffs and agents can still make hay under the sun Just went to enquire about smart card on my own and staff was unreasonably angry. They asked if I have an agent. And was asked to deal via agent itself if I have one Without agent/bribes nothing will move here
RTO is a place where people dread to go due to hassles on repeated visits, bribes, documentation issues etc for any kind of service. But Francis sir changed my mind on this completely. My license was up for renewal and I had relocated out of Neyveli. I requested Francis sir based on number listed in TN RTO website for uploading backlog updation and name change online. All it required was phone call and submission of documents to him. He seamlessly took care within a day. He was also very patient in communication and explained all procedures in detail. More power to officers likr Mr. Francis
