Very worst service, I've booked consignment from Silchar to Guwahati on 27th, during material packing they have charged extra 2500 unnecessarily and later when material reached at Guwahati, glass shelf of my dining table found broken. This is the worst service I've encountered ever and their behaviour/talking is also not upto the mark. And they even not ready to take the blame of broken materials and citing issues like bad road conditions etc etc. I recommend not to consider service from them.

Shifted from Silchar, Assam to Kolkata, West Bengal. I don't usually post negative reviews but must share my experience on this. Till "packing", everything was fine. But when it came to the "moving" and "unloading" part, things started to mess up. First of all, I was concerned from the moment I was asked to pay the full amount after the goods were loaded to the truck (I told I'll pay some amount after delivery but they didn't agree on this saying it's policy so I had to pay the full amount). After more than a week, when the goods finally arrived at Kolkata, I was informed by the local transporter that the truck won't be able to pass through the lanes to my house during busy hours so they'll have to use a smaller truck and they'll need 3500 rupees extra (labour and small truck charges) on top of the actual amount that I paid fully, that too in advance otherwise they won't deliver my stuff and asked me to get my own labour, whereas I was told initially that all labour and unloading charges were covered on the initial amount that I paid. And I had discussed this on the very first day itself that the lanes are kinda small so either deliver at night/ early morning or adjust accordingly so that there's not much rush on the roads. At that time I was assured this won't be an issue and they can deliver at night/ early morning as well but on the day of delivery, the transporter said they won't get labours at night/ early morning so they'll use a small truck to pass through the lanes and need 3500 extra for that. This resulted in a lot of confusion and argument over calls on the day of unloading, clearly indicating that there was huge communication gap between the packers and the local transporter. This was really frustrating to be honest. The local transporter even threatened me that if I don't pay 3500 within 30 mins then they'll keep my goods in their godown and won't deliver till I pay them the money (As if I'll be scared LMAO). Anyways, after lots of calls and arguments, the packers asked me to pay 3500 when the transporters arrive at my place (before unloading the goods) and afterwards the packers will pay 3500 back to me (which they did immediately so that's a good thing). When the goods were finally unloaded, I noticed some goods were severely damaged (pics attached). Upon asking about these, the transporters said the goods arrived in this condition to them. Clearly passing the ball here. Fixing these will now cost me extra 🙂 I'm still unpacking my stuff so no idea what all things I'll find broken (hopefully nothing). Overall, this really wasn't a good experience for me. So please work on the coordination with your local transporters and quality of delivery.

Within 6 months I took their services for 2 times.First time they damage our product a lot, still I thought sometime happens due to bad road conditions but 2 nd time they did the same thing and along with that our goods got missing When I called the manger they started abusing.They didn't even hand over the documents of goods they have packed for shifting.So, in my opinion think twice before taking the service

S D packers and movers, the household items were packed properly and with great care, the entire item was delivered safely and on time without any damage. Similarly, my car was also transported in a big container without any damage. delivered on time THANK YOU

Worst experience.. Their behaviour is very bad.. They will treat u like they are doing favor on you and doing it for free .. Staff behavior is pathetic..for making bill they charge extra rupees..Plz I don't recommend this to anyone...

I just discussed about local shifting to be undertaken shortly. Understood that they transport with care. Good response. Subsequently, I got the household goods of my relative shifted. Their services were very much satisfactory and the cost was quite reasonable.

Please don’t hire them. They will not pack the furniture and oher stuff properly and this will result in breakage during transport. They will pitch for transit insurance and if you take it you will be at loss. When I received my broken furnitures, I took pics and videos and send it to the company representative and he assured me that he will send the photos to the insurance company but after somedays he will stop receiving the calls and will not respond to your text. One more thing they will not pay the transit company for the amount of weight which is being sent and when the items reach the destination you will get a call from the person responsible for delivering the product and he will tell you that the SD packers has not paid the full amount to them. Then once you start calling SD packers and movers they will take 1 day for making the payment to the local transporter and you will receive the goods post payment. They included my inverter and batttery while packing the goods but after 2 days returned it back after emptying the acid of the battery and informed me that it can't be taken with other goods. It took 1200 INR for me to get the battery in working condition after return. Pathetic service. Pls pls pls don't take their service. I have suffered alot bcs of such an unprofessional movers and packers company. Edit on 20-12-2022 When I contacted SD Packers representative regarding the insurance claim for my damaged goods for which insurance policy was sold to me by the company on behalf of Oriental Insurance he said that you have given us bad review so we can't help you...When I said that I waited for 15 days and made numerous calls and messages to his number , he said he was busy and couldn't receive the call. So now the company stance is that we won't help you in getting the claim as you posted negative reviews. It seems they are not matured enough to handle a business, whenever a customer is dissatisfied with a service the customer is not that insensitive to post reviews without contacting the company guys. In this case too, I tried my best to contact these guys but they won't receive or reply to messages which compelled me to post this review. Its my humble request to you all, please don't fall in the trap and look for some other movers and packers for shipping. I have all the proofs with me and will move to District Consumer Court for my grievance redressal.
