Muzaffarpur Junction is an important railway station of Bihar.A busy & important station . so many important trains are there. This is innumerable in a normally busy station. It is also of East Central Railway. it's also an important and functioning railway station. Good stations overall was expecting it to better. The station is always clean because the cleaning staff is active. There is also a very nice system for charging the phone. Over all good .

I recently visited this station while traveling to my hometown, as it’s the nearest railhead to my village. While it serves its basic purpose, the overall condition of the station is below expectations. ❌ Infrastructure: The station is quite small and lacks sufficient space compared to major junctions like Patna. There are no proper arrangements for handling large crowds. ❌ Cleanliness: The surrounding areas and platforms are not well-maintained. Cleanliness is a major issue that needs attention. ❌ Facilities: There is no escalator or lift, which becomes inconvenient, especially for travelers with luggage or elderly passengers. ❌ Seating: Very limited or no proper sitting arrangements for waiting passengers, which adds to the discomfort. ❌ Environment: The overall environment is not welcoming and could be improved significantly with better upkeep and services. ✅ Needs Improvement: This station would benefit greatly from better cleanliness, seating arrangements, digital boards, escalators, and general infrastructure upgrades. Hope the concerned authorities take note and work towards improving the facilities for daily commuters and travelers.

Muzaffarpur Junction is a major station in North Bihar, well-connected to several cities across India. The station has improved in cleanliness and facilities in recent years. Announcements are clear, and staff are cooperative. Overall, a convenient stop for travelers.

Passenger Traffic: It is among the top 100 booking stations of Indian Railways, handling over 3.5 lakh passengers daily approx. good station and also approx all facilities available here

Muzaffarpur Railway Station: Urgent Need for Improvements Muzaffarpur Railway Station is currently facing severe challenges due to ongoing construction of a new station building, which significantly hinders passenger movement. With only one foot overbridge serving all platforms, travelers carrying goods or luggage face major difficulties navigating the station. Elevators and escalators are either unavailable or not operational across platforms, making it especially tough for elderly passengers, families, and those with heavy loads. The areas outside the station are alarmingly dirty, congested, and lack sufficient vehicle parking, creating a chaotic and unsafe environment. Adding to the woes, the railway tracks are filthy, and the drains emit a foul smell that needs regular cleaning. The overall condition near the station is pathetic and unhygienic. The only slightly better spot is accessible when exiting from the south side. Railway authorities must prioritize these fixes for a safer, cleaner experience.
